D2 VISA

The D2 Visa is intended for the exercise of independent (autonomous) professional activity and entrepreneurs who will carry out a company activity.

D3 VISA OR VISA FOR THE HIGHLY QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL

This visa is intended for employees who come to perform activities that require specialized technical skills.

STARTUP VISA

This visa is for foreign entrepreneurs who want to develop an entrepreneurship and/or innovation project in Portugal.

TECH VISA

This visa is aimed at highly qualified individuals who wish to pursue their activity in technological and innovative companies.

GOLDEN VISA

Though there is pending legislation to end this type of visa, it is currently still obtainable. The golden visa provides a residency permit for investors and their families who want to live in the country or intend to stay only a few days per year. There are several types of qualifying investments including commercial and residential real estate, which must be purchased in the interior of Portugal, Madeira Island and Azores to qualify. After a period of five years, investors may apply for Portuguese nationality by naturalization.

Portuguese Law grants the right to Portuguese Nationality in several ways and we can help.

Through Naturalization there are two ways –

1) when the applicant has been a legal resident in the country for at least 5 years, and has met other cumulative requirements including fluency in Portuguese

2) When the applicant is a descendant from the Portuguese Sephardic Jewish community, having a subjective link with Portugal. This is a recent legislative amendment.

Through Birthright- when the applicant is a descendant of Portuguese ancestry, whose birth occurred abroad, but has no registration by the Portuguese authority, the right comes from genetic inheritance. An individual is able to apply nationality at any time, and the effects of this grant will be retroactive from the birth of the individual.

Through Partnership- when the applicant is Married or partner of a Portuguese citizen, observing, among others, a minimum period of time of marriage or common law provided for in current legislation.
